Final Crime School lesson - keep your eyes open

The third lesson in my Crime School selection falls in that area where you're likely to feel that anyone caught out this way just about deserves to be conned.
However, the foolish person could stand to learn an awful lot of their savings, so I should say,
'Attention class and watch closely.'
It is easy to be distracted out on the street. Look at the foolish mistakes drivers with mobiles in hand make, and often fatal ones.
In the third incident in this really useful video by Richmond Police (which I have used for Lesson 1 and Lesson 2), the victim visits her local ATM to withdraw some cash.
Too villainish
Villain #1, actually looking too villainish to get away with it, follows the victim. She starts to use the keyboard and Villain 1 stands right beside her, watching all.
The victim sees the crook standing almost on her toes ... and yet still continues to use the machine. In goes her credit card. She enters her sacred PIN number!
And surprise, surprise, another highly suspect crook stands to her right watching the process. She see the PIN number being entered. She memorises it. Then this crook touches the woman's arm and points to a few bank notes on the ground, bank notes this second sinner put there.
The Victim leans down, takes the money - and pockets it.
Villain #1 exits left, hurriedly
In those couple of seconds, the really villainish Villian (#1) pulls the victim's card from the machine and Exits Left. The aspiring withdrawer returns to the task. Shock, horror, surprise! The card has vanished. She is really puzzled about where it could have gone. At this point, you make well think the silly girl deserves what she's got - or lost.
However, the villians look so villainish, you'll relent and want to help her. Continues on the blogs for my ocean adventure book, Sailing to Purgatory, at SailingToPurgatory.com
